Safeguarding

Shaped by the needs of participants, this course is delivered by a Vice Principal and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Participants will gain an insight into compulsory staff training and any updates in safeguarding within schools.

SEND Support in the Classroom

In collaboration with our colleagues at Silverwood and Springfields Special School, this course upskills staff so you can effectively support SEND students in the classroom and in and around school.

Effective Coaching and Mentoring

Understand the difference between mentoring and coaching and when both are appropriate. Learn how to develop systems and strategies to enhance the standard of mentoring and coaching in your school.

Being an Effective TA / LSA

Covering all aspects of effective TA / LSA practice, this course enables new and experienced support staff to learn, improve and network. Delegates will leave with a clear understanding of what makes an outstanding TA / LSA and specific practices they can embed in their own classrooms and in interactions with young people.

Introduction to Pastoral Leadership

Delivered by an experienced Head of Year and a pastoral support worker, this course gives an introduction to passport support including managing a team of tutors, creating an identity for your year group, and supporting vulnerable students.

Identification of Essential Knowledge and Curriculum Design

Hear from a Principal and Head of English on how essential knowledge is identified and shared with staff and students through an effective curriculum model.

Writing Across the Curriculum

Learn how to build effective strategies to support students with their writing, with a follow-up clinic to help you embed practices.
